 The launch of Internal Education drive in October 2007 was one another step forward towards the continuous commitment that we show towards serving the society not only outside IIMK but also that within the institution. This educational drive is meant to equip IIMK Community members (security, housekeeping personnel, Mess and Night Canteen workers and so on) with skills that will aid them in their day to day activities. Currently, spoken Hindi classes are being conducted within the campus premises, for the support staff (security, housekeeping personnel, and so on) by Mr. Balkrishnan Nair, from the Gandhi peace foundation, Calicut. So far these classes have been able to generate a lot of interest and curiosity to learn in IIMK Community members. Buoyed with positive response received so far, we intend to have similar classes running for Mess and Night Canteen workers as well, suiting their skill-set requirements.
