The Mess Committee -Introduction

Take a guess……..  How would Mess at IIM Kozhikode be like? South Indian food? Regional preparation?

Here is the real story ………

Mess plays an integral role in the lives of each any every student at IIMK. We are the driving force and pulse of IIMK. Mess at IIMK serves wide variety of dishes right from South Indian to North Indian and even Chinese food. The Mess committee caters to interest of the students by constantly bringing out changes the menu and providing a variety of tastes. We also have a canteen which serves round the clock and is a major centre for student’s activities and get together.

Mess committee at IIMK takes care of the menu, hygiene, mess bills and all other mess related issues. Affairs of mess are very fine issues that sometimes the sheer number is mind boggling. Serving such a diverse community is not an easy job. We keep on bringing in new dishes and takes in suggestions from students. Mess committee has also come up with increased involvement in every event that was organized in the campus by conducting chat fests, ice cream fests along side.                                         .

Mess is one place that brings all members IIMK family together .We celebrate birthdays of students and mess workers in the canteen and this has become a tradition at IIMK .These informal gatherings forms best part of the campus life at IIMK.   

Mess committee is an elected body consisting of two members each from PGP 10 and PGP 11.
